Finally

All this week, I've been taking Brandon to soccer camp and I've seen this bird perched beautifully in the middle of this little pond... (what is it anyway?? stork? crane? pelican?) On the last day of camp, I remembered to grab my camera, but of course, as luck would have it, the bird went into hiding. I went out the next morning and drove all the way to Midland, but again...she was nowhere to be found.

I was obsessed with getting a picture of this darn bird. So, tonight, Mel and I took the boys to see GI Joe (which was pretty good by the way) and we purposely went by the pond and...yay...she was there. She wasn't exactly posing how I wanted her to, but I settled for what I could get.

Oh, and I know it's a she because of the little babas swimming around with her.
